Public Consultation 1st October to 19th November 2017 Have Your Say!
This is a key moment: the draft Deddington Neighbourhood Plan has now reached the stage where residents and stakeholders have the opportunity to comment on the Plan and suggest possible improvements. The Consultation will run for seven weeks.
The policies are entirely grounded in the responses we’ve received from parishioners – in three parish-wide questionnaires and a series of drop-in sessions – and from extensive exchanges with stakeholders, local groups, businesses and land owners.
When the Consultation is complete, any suggestions which may be made will be taken into account and, if appropriate, changes made. Next the Plan is forwarded to Cherwell District Council, who will conduct a separate consultation. The Plan is then submitted to an independent examiner who will identify any modifications necessary to comply with statutory requirements. The resultant Plan will then be put to a Parish referendum.
Below please find links to:
● explanatory pamphlet for residents providing an overview of the draft policies and spaces for handwritten comments
● Survey Monkey version of the pamphlet for making comments online (which would make it easier for us to collate)
● draft Neighbourhood Plan
● draft Consultation Statement
● draft Basic Conditions Statement
● notice to statutory consultees and stakeholders
● consultee/stakeholder representation form
Your contribution is vital - Please Have your Say.

Thank you for a terrific response to our survey
The Neighbourhood Plan survey is now complete - a huge thank you to all Deddington parishioners who responded. Special thanks to the fantastic band of street captains who delivered the questionnaires and encouraged so many in all three villages to fill them in.
At the last count, 1,553 adult questionnaires were sent out, and 914 people responded – that is nearly 60%.
The youth questionnaire went out to 150 parishioners aged 11 to 17, and 73
responded – just over 47%.
You can read the results for yourself – unedited, uncollated, just as we received them – on these two Survey Monkey sites.

The Neighbourhood Plan steering group are now getting down to assessing the results and reading more than five thousand comments included on the questionnaires. Watch this space for analysis and summaries.
We’ll be holding drop-in sessions at the church, probably in March, when we’ll be beginning to draw up a draft neighbourhood plan and will be wanting to hear your reaction to the survey findings and your suggestions for what should be the priorities.
